The Al Ain Police Directorate organized on Monday, the Director of Al Ain Police Directorate’s Championship for pistol shooting. The Championship, which was held in cooperation and coordination with the Sports Activity Section at the Strategy and Performance Development Department at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, took place at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club.
The championship embodies the keenness and attention of the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, represented by Al Ain Police Directorate, to support sports, cultural and recreational activities for police staff members in a constructive competitive sporting atmosphere.
A total of 40 female and male staff members from Al Ain Police took part in the championship. The top-ranked competitors in the Directorate’s sections and stations competition for men were as follows: the Falaj Hazzaa Police Station ranked first, followed by the Criminal Investigation Section and Al Khazna Police Station in the second and third places respectively.
Top achievers in the Directorate’s sections and stations competition for women were as follows: the Falaj Hazzaa Police Station ranked first, followed by the Strategy and Performance Development Section and Zakher Police Station in the second and third places respectively.
Top-ranked competitors in the singles’ competition for men were, Rashid Al Dir’e from the Falaj Hazza Police Station came in first place, followed by Eid Al Moukbali from the Falaj Hazza Police Station in second place and Ali Mohammed Al Bloushi from the Criminal Investigation Section in third place.
Top achievers in singles’ competition for women were as follows: Wafaa Mounir from the Strategy and Performance Development Section ranked first, followed by Sara Al Nuaimi from the Falaj Hazza Police Station and Latifa Al Kuwaiti from the Investigation Section in the second and third places respectively.
The top achievers honoring ceremony was attended by Colonel Mohammed Hamad Al Badi, from the Al Ain Police Directorate; Major Saif Hassan Al Mansouri, Chief of the Public Relations Section, along with a number of officers, non-commissioned officers and constables from Al Ain Police.

ADP Residency Organizes Two Lectures on Smart Government

The Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi organized two lectures on Smart Government in a bid to exchange and enhance knowledge sharing among staff members and to avail of leaders’ expertise within the different police work fields. This initiative aims at serving the development of organizational excellence and improving the indicators of job performance.
Both lectures were held in response to the “Share My Knowledge” initiative that was recently launched by the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Interior.
The lectures that were hosted by the Emirates Institute for Naturalization, Residency and Ports were attended by Colonel Yusuf Ismail Al Khouri, Deputy Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs; along with heads of departments, chiefs of sections and staff members. The first lecture was delivered by Colonel Salem Mohamed Al Ameri, Head of the Foreign Offices Department, while Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Abdul Wahab Al Falahi, Head of Entry and Residency Permits Department delivered the second lecture.
Colonel Al Ameri stressed the Abu Dhabi Residency and Foreigners Affairs’ commitment to develop and upgrade the quality of government services. He noted that launching the Smart Government package of services aims at enabling the public to avail of the modern and new technologies available through mobile phones to obtain the best services in a fast, secure and easy manner, to meet customers’ needs. “Technology has undergone extensive development recently, which prompted the development of electronic services linked to relevant parties in the field of service provision, especially with the widespread of smart phones use,” he added.
For his part, Colonel Al Falahi tackled the Smart Government initiative. (BUSINESS WIRE)-- ZTE USA, the fourth largest smartphone manufacturer in the U.S. and second largest in the off-contract market*, kicked off the New Year early by unveiling its new global brand identity in the U.S. today at a Golden State Warriors home game at Oracle Arena. The more consumer-focused branding includes a new logo and tagline, “Tomorrow never waits,” marking the 30th anniversary of the company and emphasizing its focus on transformative mobile technology solutions for its consumers and carrier partners. While ZTE introduced its new brand identity yesterday at an event in Hong Kong, this was the first time the company brought it to the U.S. as part of its relationship as the official smartphone of the Golden State Warriors.
Under ZTE’s new corporate evolution towards greater emphasis in the mobile internet technology and ecosystem that takes on a more consumer-centric emphasis, the company is committed to driving innovation in telecommunications, enterprise computing and consumer devices to help consumers adapt and thrive in the era of intelligent, always-on connectivity. The new ZTE slogan, “Tomorrow never waits”, reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to providing consumers with access to technology solutions that will define the future.

Abu Dhabi Police organize “Inventory of Knowledge” Workshop
ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Tuesday, December 30th 2014 [ME NewsWire]
The Knowledge Center at the Strategy and Performance Development Department at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, recently organized a workshop marking the commencement of the ‘Inventory of Tacit Knowledge’ project designed for knowledge coordinators at all departments within the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.
The workshop, which was held at the Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi, was inaugurated by Major Dr. Saif Salem Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director of the Strategy and Performance Development. In his opening speech, Major Dr. Al Nuaimi highlighted the importance of the workshop in reflecting the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s vision, which aims at ensuring that the Emirate of Abu Dhabi remains a society that enjoys safety and security, by providing high-quality police services to citizens, residents and visitors of the emirate.
“Knowledge forums and workshops organized by the Knowledge Center aim at enhancing the knowledge culture and spreading it across all sectors, by implementing the best practices. These forums represent the perfect opportunity to discuss and review the distinguished experiences and to share and develop knowledge,” he added.
For his part, Major Khaled Hussein Al Khoury, Director of the Knowledge Center at the General Directorate of Strategy and Performance Development, gave an overview of the Knowledge Center’s achievements, and the most important topics of the Center’s future plans for the year 2015. He also highlighted the importance of such knowledge-based initiatives in ensuring continued transfer of expertise between staff members; investing in performance development; and enhancing knowledge management at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ.
Several practical exercises were also carried out during the workshop, which provided an interactive and engaging experience for attendees.
