A delegation from the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs visited children with cancer who are currently recovering at the Short Term Residential Treatment Facility of the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi. The visit comes in line with the annual humanitarian and community initiatives for 2015 in the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs sector, and is part of the celebrations marking the World Cancer Day.
The delegation, headed by Lieutenant Colonel Taleb Al Mahmoud, Chief of the Media and Public Relations Section at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Sector, spent time chatting with the children in their rooms and inquired about their current state of health. This gesture aims at providing moral support to children battling cancer and bringing little joy to their hearts. Towards the end of the visit, the delegation members distributed commemorative gifts to the children, wishing them a full recovery and good health.
Colonel Al Mahmoud revealed that the visit aims at fostering the spirit of social solidarity and building bridges of cooperation and communication with various sectors of the community, as well as instilling solid social bonds with the aim of achieving the values of solidarity and cooperation. This embodies the sector’s strategy aimed at achieving the highest levels of communication with social institutions and individuals. In conclusion, he praised the efforts of the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in providing high quality medical, social, health and rehabilitation services to patients, according to the highest international standards.
Assistant General Service Officer at the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Aisha Al Hamoudi welcomed the delegation, which included First Lt Zainab Abbas Al Saffar, Officer in the Media and Public Relations Section and a number of staff members from the Section.
