Lt. Colonel Mohammed Abdul Jalil Al Ansari, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense reviewed the workflow, adopted procedures, and services provided to the public at the different Civil Defense stations across the emirate of Abu Dhabi. He stressed the importance of promoting the culture of prevention and safety among members of society, as well as training to reinforce the competence of firefighters to help them control fires and respond to other emergencies.
These remarks were made by the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense during an inspection visit to the Civil Defense stations across Abu Dhabi, including stations in the Eastern and Western regions. As a part of the tour, Lt. Colonel Al Ansari also visited the internal and external stations across the capital city, which include Al Shamkha, Al Falah, Al Maqtaa, Al Musaffah M33, Al Musaffah M13, Al Bateen, and Bani Yas stations, in addition to Al Hayer, Al Qua’a, Al Faqa’, Al Wagan, Al Dhahir stations; the department’s headquarters in the Eastern Region and Bida Zayed and Liwa stations in the Western Region.
During the visit, Lt. Colonel Al Ansari met the officers, non-commissioned officers, and constables working at the station and was briefed on the station’s readiness to respond to potential emergencies and the future work plan that the Civil Defense sector seeks to implement in the coming period.
Moreover, he was briefed on the needs of staff members, and issued his directives to cater to the stations’ requirements in terms of manpower, equipment, and modern machinery that would enable the civil defense personnel to carry out their assigned tasks and duties to the fullest.
Lt. Colonel Al Ansari praised the endeavors of staff members and urged them to double the efforts, and to show diligence and dedication in carrying out their job requirements accurately, as well as to streamline procedures and enhance quality to upgrade work standards to the highest levels. He also gave his instructions to carry out outreach programs, distribute awareness brochures, organize awareness lectures to the public, and to distribute a number of dry powder fire extinguishers to a number of houses; as part of the efforts to promote public safety.
