Mubarak Abdulrahman Al Hashemi, civilian employee at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi and inventor of the ‘Smart Patrol’ project said that providing realistic innovative ideas is part of the ingrained well-established values and sense of giving that characterize the UAE, which has spared no effort to provide the necessary resources to support the creative and innovative work, so as to encourage purposeful ideas and vital projects that serve police work.
Al Hashemi noted that the keenness and great attention dedicated by the country’s leadership, and its ongoing and unrelenting support to allow Emiratis to provide distinguished ideas, have been the motive that encouraged him to come up with an idea that serves the generous country, while seeking to obtain the innovation diploma at the Ministry of Interior.
Furthermore, Al Hashemi said that the ‘Smart Patrol’ idea falls in line with the preparations for the highly anticipated Expo 2020, to handle the growing numbers of visitors to the UAE expected to attend the event. He explained that the patrol will enhance road control and monitoring, and can be linked to the operations room at the Abu Dhabi Police. It includes cameras; radars; and a remote control feature.
Al Hashemi indicated that the project will contribute to achieving the UAE government’s vision and the goals of the Ministry of Interior, aimed at maintaining road security by spreading the traffic safety culture, and enforcing the law, to handle the growing numbers of visitors to the UAE expected to attend the event.
Mubarak Al Hashemi is a distinguished employee, and has received several medals from H.H Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Interior, as well as more than 47 thanks and appreciation certificates from his department and from the office of the Assistant Undersecretary of Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs. He also earned acknowledgment from government departments in Abu Dhabi, for his voluntary participation in a number of national events.
