Leading training provider will deliver three day training in Dubai
Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Monday, July 25th 2016 [ME NewsWire]
Arabia CSR Network will organize a three day training course on Sustainability Reporting from 9th to 11th August. The acclaimed course has been developed by Global Reporting initiative, the leading international body that has brought out the renowned GRI framework. The GRI G4 framework is in the process of becoming the sustainability reporting standard and this is expected to lead to an even greater uptake of sustainability reporting worldwide. GRI is the most widely used framework for sustainability reporting in the world with over 20,000 reports already issued by public, private and civil society organisations across the globe.
The training will be facilitated by Arabia CSR Network, a leading knowledge and service provider on CSR and sustainability in the Arab Region. The training will put the spotlight on the need for non-financial reporting as a means of gaining trust and reputation. Companies that produce a sustainability report are commonly viewed as ethical, responsible and transparent. The training will also highlight the basic elements of the GRI framework, namely, stakeholder engagement and materiality. The training methodology will include pedagogical content and case examples, backed by discussion and exercises. All delegates that complete the stipulated number of training hours will be issued with an e-certificate by Global Reporting Initiative.
The Arabia CSR Network organizes GRI training courses for both Arabic and English speaking audiences. It is the only organisation to offer exclusive GRI courses in Arabic. This will be the thirtieth GRI training that the network would have conducted, so far it has successfully trained 252 professionals from diverse sectors, paving the way for 84 sustainability reports based on the GRI framework in the region.. “Within 3 days, I had so many concepts, ideas and misconceptions clarified. The course is highly enlightening not only in subject matter but in the topic of sustainability in general,” said one of the delegates of the last training conducted by Arabia CSR Network.
