ADP Kick Start 43rd National Day Celebrations

Air Wing Helicopters form number 43 on the tarmac

The Abu Dhabi Police GHQ kick started the festivities to mark the UAE 43rd National Day. The Air Wing Department helicopters stood in formation on the tarmac, forming the number 43. The Al Ain Traffic Section also took part in the celebrations, while the Community Police Department, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, commemorated the huge achievements attained under the Union in a celebration held at the Community Service Center in Al Shamkha.

Brigadier Pilot Ali Mohammed Al Mazroui, Head of the Air Wing Department at the Abu Dhabi Police, said, “Our annual celebration of the National Day is a precious occasion to all of us, as it reflects the sincere pride in the establishment of the United Arab Emirate (UAE), under the leadership of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahya, may God have mercy upon his soul.”

“The Abu Dhabi GHQ is keen to mark this historic day across all of its departments, as a way to express full confidence in the wise leadership of the UAE. This year, the Air Wing Department at Abu Dhabi Police has chosen to undertake a creative new feat as part of the celebrations, by forming the number 43 on the tarmac using 10 helicopters,” Brigadier Al Mazroui added.

In the same context, the Al Ain Traffic Section at the Traffic and Patrols Department of Abu Dhabi Police organized a recreational societal activity on the sidelines of the government and private celebrations of the National Day. The event, which comes at the invitation of the UAE Red Crescent-Al Ain Branch, was organized at Al Jahili Park in Al Ain, with participation of the Community Police and a number of schools in the city. Mohammed Yusuf Al Fahim, Deputy Secretary General for Support Services, UAE Red Crescent, attended the event.

Colonel Hamad Nasser Al Bloushi Head of Peripheral Regions Traffic Department, the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, said, “Taking part in such societal activities aims at ensuring continuous communication with all community segments, in order to enhance their awareness and spread traffic culture.”

The Community Police Department organized a national celebration at the Community Service Center in Al Shamkha, in cooperation with ADEC, ADSC and the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City.

Colonel Mubarak Bin Muhairom, Head of Department of Community Police Department at Abu Dhabi Police, said, “Today we are experiencing a sense of joy and pride with our beloved country, which is celebrating 43 blessed years of union. Both citizens and residents enjoy a well-rounded and happy life thanks to Allah Almighty and to our higher leadership. On this auspicious occasion, we commemorate the countless outstanding achievements and the many milestones attained by the UAE, which contributed to making it a highly respected and admired country worldwide and positioned in the front row among the most civilized countries in the world.  Through this celebration, we seek, not only to express our joy, but also to reiterate our belonging to this country and dwell on the march of welfare and prosperity that we enjoy under our higher leadership.”

For his part, Captain Salem Al Kathiri, official at of the Community Service Centers in Al Shamkha and Al Falah, said, “These nationwide festivities are part of the UAE celebrations to mark its historic establishment, through the various societal activities organized by the Community Police Department of Abu Dhabi Police. The program included a number of field visits to Al Shamkha residents to distribute invitations and urge them to take part in the festivities; as well as a panel discussion meeting with parents in the morning and the evening period; and a set of traditional and cultural activities throughout the week.”

Captain Al Kathiri added: “The week-long festivities include a number of activities, notably marathon with the participation of the residents and school students in the area, as well as people with special needs. They all come together to express their love for the UAE and their happiness with the national day. Furthermore, the activities will include a traditional and heritage discussion, in addition to a variety of entertaining shows.”
