(BUSINESS WIRE) -- Galderma (SIX: GALD) will showcase data from its leading innovative Injectable Aesthetics portfolio at the Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress (AMWC) taking place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), from October 21-23, 2026. The company will present eight scientific abstracts, alongside a symposium and six Meet-the-Expert sessions, all highlighting the expanding benefits of Relfydess, Sculptra, and the Restylane range.1-8 Together, the data demonstrate Galderma’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of patients and healthcare professionals through innovation that addresses growing needs, from menopause-related skin changes and regenerative aesthetic solutions, to body indications.

Data across face and body indications showcase the power of Sculptra and Restylane

Data on Sculptra, the first proven regenerative biostimulator, will be shared at AMWC Dubai, following its approval in the UAE expanding its current clinical application for the face to include key body areas: the gluteal area, posterior thighs and décolletage.9 Guidance from an international consensus panel of 11 experts will be presented, outlining evidence-based recommendations on appropriate combination strategies across approved body indications.1 The recommendations highlight the complementary benefits of Sculptra and Restylane SkinboostersTM in the posterior thighs, and gluteal area, for comprehensive body rejuvenation.1

Data from Restylane ShaypeTM – the first-and-only hyaluronic acid (HA) shaper developed with novel NASHA-HD™ technology as well as expanded indications for Restylane LyftTM and Restylane VolymeTM* are being presented with clinical evidence in the chin, jawline, temples, and lower face.2 Across four studies, Restylane delivered well-tolerated, effective, and long-lasting aesthetic improvements in multiple facial regions, consistently achieving high responder rates and high subject satisfaction.2

Additionally, addressing the growing demand for body rejuvenation, data evaluating the effectiveness and safety of Restylane Skinboosters for correction of moderate-to-severe wrinkles in the décolletage will be shared at the congress, noting that the product was well tolerated and highly efficacious, with high patient satisfaction.3

In a dedicated symposium, international experts will discuss best practices for use of Galderma’s Injectable Aesthetics portfolio for the body through the AART™ (Assessment, Anatomy, Range, and Treatment) of Body - a patient-centric technique to evaluate needs and create structured individualized treatment plans. Content will highlight the UAE expanded indications for Sculptra in the gluteal area, posterior thighs, and décolletage.9 The symposium will take place Thursday, October 22, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM GST, in Baniyas ballroom 1.

Galderma’s Injectable Aesthetics portfolio addresses diverse trends and rising new patient segments

Galderma will also share insights from a global survey of over 4,300 women across nine countries on menopause-related skin changes and aesthetic treatment considerations.4 Biostimulators and dermal fillers were the most frequently considered treatments for menopause-related facial and skin changes, with 80% of patients looking for information on Sculptra, and 75% for information on the Restylane range.4

Congress data also reinforces Sculptra’s ability to deliver long-term improvements in the mechanical properties of the skin, through volume restoration, improved elasticity and skin thickness.5 Seven experts evaluated the biostimulatory properties of Sculptra, with consensus on its key role in the regenerative aesthetic field.5

Relfydess delivers continued efficacy across facial indications

Data from the RELAX and EXPRESSION imaging trials confirmed early and sustained improvements in wrinkle morphology and dynamic skin strain in frown lines (glabellar lines) and crow’s feet (lateral canthal lines) following treatment with Relfydess.6 These findings reinforce that Relfydess delivers a rapid onset, durable efficacy, and measurable improvements in both patient-reported outcomes and skin dynamics.6

Pooled phase III study data for Relfydess to be presented shows improvement in moderate-to-severe frown lines and crow’s feet for both toxin-naïve and previously treated patients.7 Galderma will also present expert-led consensus recommendations that address key unmet needs in real-world clinical practice, offering clear, practical guidance for optimal dosing, injection patterns and treatment planning with Relfydess.8

Picsart Launches Marketing Studio to Help Businesses Create, Test and Run Google Ads

 MIAMI - Wednesday, 21. October 2026

Picsart’s new Marketing Studio brings content creation, advertising strategy, creative testing and paid distribution into one guided space.

Businesses can test concepts and videos using Zappi’s consumer insights and predictive technology, then create and launch Google Ads campaigns directly within Picsart.

Built primarily for small-business owners, solopreneurs and performance marketeers, Marketing Studio connects creative work with advertising performance, helping businesses use campaign results to guide what they make next.

(BUSINESS WIRE)--Picsart, the AI media production and distribution platform, where 100M+ creators and businesses worldwide make, market and monetize content, today launched Marketing Studio, bringing content creation, advertising strategy, creative testing and paid distribution into one connected experience. Available now, Marketing Studio combines market insights from Zappi with a Google Ads integration that lets businesses create and launch campaigns directly within Picsart.

Built primarily for solopreneurs and small-business owners with limited marketing expertise, Marketing Studio helps answer four questions: where to invest, what to create, how to launch with the optimal creative assets and what is working. It also supports agencies producing more content against tight deadlines and performance marketers who need fresh creative to test.

Hovhannes Avoyan, Founder and CEO, Picsart, explains: “A small-business owner can know their product inside out and still struggle to communicate its value to customers. We build with our customers in mind, always looking for ways to help their creative efforts work harder for their business. That’s why expert guidance from AI agents at every stage of the marketing process is a core foundation of our new Marketing Studio.”

Further Detail on Picsart’s Marketing Studio

What does this mean for small businesses, solopreneurs and marketing teams?

Marketing Studio turns a business’s goals, product, market, competitors and audience into an advertising strategy. It provides guidance on where to invest, when to launch or scale campaigns, and when to maintain what is working. Businesses can create still images and video variations using Picsart’s video models and editing tools, with support for brand consistency as campaigns grow.

Picsart is introducing three new AI agents that can be found within Marketing Studio: Pax, a Google Ads Manager Agent; Draper, an Ad Strategist Agent; and Slava, a Performance Marketer and Campaign Manager. Together, they extend support from market research and advertising strategy through campaign management and paid distribution. Picsart continues to add new agents to its roster, expanding the specialized support available to creators, prosumers and businesses alike.

How does this compare to managing creative production and advertising separately?

Marketing Studio connects the steps between developing an idea and running a campaign. Through Picsart’s partnership with Zappi, the connected insights platform used by many of the world’s leading consumer brands including McDonald’s, PepsiCo and Vodafone, businesses can test concepts and videos before committing advertising spend. Recently launched, Vera, the agentic ad strategist, utilizes Zappi’s consumer insights and predictive technology to score creative, identify improvements and inform new video variations. In validation against hundreds of ads evaluated by real consumers, Zappi’s model identified stronger creative across key metrics 86–93% of the time.

The Google Ads integration lets businesses create and launch campaigns directly within Picsart, reducing the disconnected steps between production and distribution.

Mika Peterman, Strategic Partnerships & Business Development Leader, Google, adds: “Creative is the biggest driver of ad effectiveness. We’re thrilled to launch Google Ads within the Picsart platform to help their users easily turn high-quality assets into high-performing campaigns from a unified workflow. By bringing creation and distribution together, we're giving small businesses the tools to launch faster, iterate quickly based on real performance, and drive meaningful growth.”

Once campaigns are running, plain-language performance insights help businesses understand results and decide what to do next. Those findings feed back into creative production, helping teams refine concepts and generate new variations.

Marketing Studio is now available within Picsart.

Grafana Labs Charts the Path to Agentic Operations with Watchers, Pages, and Agent Observability at ObservabilityCON 2026

 SAN FRANCISCO -

Grafana Labs delivers AI for observability and observability for AI: always-on agents to operate systems, and OpenTelemetry-native visibility into the agents you ship

(BUSINESS WIRE) -- Grafana Labs, the company behind the open agentic observability cloud, today announced new releases at ObservabilityCON 2026 that move Grafana Cloud towards agentic operations, including the general availability of Agent Observability with OpenTelemetry support and of Assistant Watchers, and previews of Grafana Pages and Grafana Managed Sandboxes.

As AI moves into production, teams face two connected challenges: using agents to operate their systems and understanding the behavior of the agents themselves. In the 2026 State of Observability Report, also released this week by Grafana Labs and ETR, a Futurum company, 68% of the 300 IT and engineering leaders surveyed have moved AI for observability past investigation into pilots or production. But confidence depends on the task and readiness varies: 85% report comfort with read-only investigation, compared to 52% for full autonomous remediation. Grafana Labs is building toward a platform with agents that act, allowing each organization to decide how much human oversight to retain based on its own level of trust and risk profile.

Teams also need to watch the agents they ship. Some 80% of surveyed organizations are building or operating LLM-powered features, yet 45% have pieced together AI observability from open source while only 25% run a purpose-built product. Today’s announcements cover both sides: AI for observability, so agents can investigate and act with people in control, and observability for AI, so teams can see and trust the agents they run.

AI for observability: The future of agentic operations

Grafana Assistant is the AI agent built into Grafana Cloud, where teams ask questions in plain language and get answers from their own telemetry. Assistant Investigations, generally available since late July, takes that further: it runs longer, deeper investigations that can start automatically from an alert or incident, and teams can run them from the platform, Slack, the Grafana Cloud MCP server, or gcx. Today’s releases extend that workflow:

Assistant Watchers (GA): Watchers are always-on agents that help teams detect changes they have not captured in predefined alert rules. Teams describe what matters in plain language, and a Watcher learns normal patterns from their telemetry and surfaces findings when those patterns change. Each finding arrives with the evidence behind it and routes through your existing Grafana Alerting, and a critical finding can trigger an Investigation. Watchers complement threshold-based alerts by helping teams identify emerging issues.

Grafana Managed Sandboxes (public preview): Managed Sandboxes give Grafana Assistant a controlled cloud environment to develop proposed fixes using repository code and live telemetry. Assistant can clone a repository, investigate the code in the context of production behavior, prepare a fix, and open a pull request for human review and approval.

Grafana Pages (public preview): With Grafana Pages, teams can build visualizations beyond any fixed constraints, making them closer to an app than a dashboard. Existing visualization components still work, and Pages supplement them as the next evolution of Grafana.

“Teams want agents to take on more of the work, but they need evidence and control at each step,” said Mat Ryer, Senior Director of AI, Grafana Labs. “Watchers surface emerging problems, Investigations help diagnose them, and Managed Sandboxes prepare fixes for human review. Together they make Grafana Cloud more autonomous, bringing detection, diagnosis, and proposed action into one workflow, grounded in the team’s own telemetry.”

Research on Grafana Cloud’s existing AI tools points to the potential operational benefits. According to IDC’s white paper The Business Value of Grafana AI (September 2026, sponsored by Grafana Labs), customers using Grafana Cloud’s AI tools reduced mean time to resolution by 63% and spent 46% less of each on-call shift gathering context.

Customers describe the same shift in day-to-day terms. SailPoint, the identity security company, is using Grafana Assistant to do the work that used to take the most time: migrating telemetry and investigating incidents. “I can just ask Grafana a question, leave it in that tab, go do something else, get Slack, get some coffee, and come back to a full investigation,” said Juan Carlos Ramirez, Senior Staff DevOps Engineer, SailPoint. “It's personally helped me find spikes in logs that before the Assistant that would've taken me maybe 15, 20 minutes down to maybe five, and that's while I'm doing other things.”

Observability for AI: Understand the agents in production

Agents are now production workloads, and they need the same visibility as any other service. Teams need to see what their agents do, what they cost, and whether their behavior holds up over time, without adding a separate tool. That is what Grafana Cloud Agent Observability solves, and today we are extending it with OpenTelemetry support, so agent activity shows up on the same open standard as the rest of the stack.

Agent Observability with OpenTelemetry support (GA): Agent Observability helps teams understand what their agents are doing and what it costs them. Now, with OpenTelemetry support, agent activity shows up the same way any other service does, on the open standard that 76% of organizations already invest in, according to Grafana Labs' 2026 Observability Survey.

Grafana Labs Brings Faster Full-text Search and Smarter Data Optimization to Grafana Cloud at ObservabilityCON 2026

SAN FRANCISCO - Wednesday, 21. October 2026 AETOSWire

Adaptive Logs Archive lets teams keep more logs for less, and faster queries for rare values in Grafana Cloud Logs help them, and their agents, find what matters in seconds

(BUSINESS WIRE) -- Grafana Labs, the company behind the open agentic observability cloud, today announced new releases at ObservabilityCON 2026 that help teams manage their telemetry in the AI era, finding the right log line in seconds and keeping only the telemetry worth paying for as AI workloads scale. Major query performance enhancements to Grafana Cloud Logs, built on technology from the company's Logline acquisition, are now generally available, and Adaptive Logs Archive is in public preview.

AI is massively increasing telemetry volumes. Coding agents are turning everyone into a developer, so more software is being built, faster, and all of it needs to be watched. The agents add to the load too, since every agent call and tool call emits its own telemetry. Left alone, observability costs grow with every new workload, which makes cost and query optimization non-negotiable for running AI at scale. In the 2026 State of Observability Report, also released this week by Grafana Labs and ETR, a Futurum company, 78% of the 300 IT and engineering leaders surveyed increased observability spend last year and 73% expect to again, citing new products added to the stack (61%) and AI-accelerated development creating more to watch (60%).

“The economics of observability only work if you keep the data worth keeping and can dial that up or down as your system’s state changes, and that’s more true than ever with the explosion in telemetry driven by AI,” said Jen Villa, Senior Director of Product, Grafana Labs. “But even the data worth keeping is still massive, so you still need to be able to find what you’re looking for in it, fast. Adaptive Telemetry handles the first, and the query performance enhancements we’ve made in Grafana Cloud Logs handle the second.”

Find the one log line that matters, in seconds

Built on technology from Logline, which Grafana Labs acquired in April 2026, Cloud Logs now offers customers faster full-text search, at no additional cost.

This added functionality identifies logs with low frequency like request IDs and customer IDs over object storage, so an engineer paged at 1 a.m. can find the exact IDs in seconds, straight from the alert. Agents send far more queries than people do, so faster queries let agents and engineers move faster together.

“When I ran our first query on newly submitted logs after enabling Logline, the improvement was clear. We went from processing nearly a terabyte of logs in three minutes to around 100 gigabytes in under three seconds,” said Timo Kirzdörfer, OpenTelemetry & Grafana Cloud Admin, DATEV eG. “That represents an 80–90 percent reduction in the volume of logs searched for newly submitted logs, and we saw the results immediately.”

Keep only the data worth paying for

Grafana Labs’ Adaptive Telemetry suite optimizes cost across metrics, logs, traces, and profiles by recommending what to aggregate or sample, so teams keep the telemetry that matters. The result is better signal at a lower cost: customers using multiple components, including Mux, TeleTracking, and Auditboard, have cut telemetry spend by 30 to 50% on average. New updates cover logs, metrics, and traces:

Adaptive Logs Archive (public preview): Adaptive Logs Archive lets teams route logs to an object storage bucket they own in an open format. They get the cost savings of not putting those logs in Grafana Cloud, but still retaining them in low-cost storage in case they’re ever needed for an investigation, audit, or compliance request.

Adaptive Metrics Auto-Apply (GA): Platform teams no longer have to review cardinality-reduction recommendations one by one. Auto-Apply continuously applies recommendations without a human in the loop, while existing dashboards and alerts keep working unchanged. With Cost Mode, a built-in safeguard only applies recommendations that won’t increase your total active series, so optimization never turns into a cost spike.

Query traces dropped by Adaptive Traces (GA): Sample aggressively without worrying about losing the one trace you need. Developers can retrieve any trace by ID from the last 24 hours, even if Adaptive Traces dropped it, so cost savings never come at the expense of an investigation.

“Before, finding waste meant someone manually digging through metric cardinality and log volume, and the job never ended because new services kept adding more. Adaptive Metrics and Adaptive Logs now do that analysis for us,” said Carl Eastman, Principal Software Engineer, Rapid7. “They show which metrics and log patterns are never queried and recommend what to aggregate or drop, and we apply those recommendations instead of hunting for them. Our engineers spend their time on the few rules that need human judgment, like dropping debug logs we know are noise, rather than the whole long tail.”

Merck Collaborates with NVIDIA, Microsoft and Dawn Health to Develop Novel Support Model for People Living with Rare Tumors

  • Collaboration to explore how AI-facilitated technology can help make patient support programs more individualized, responsive and continuously available to people living with rare tumors
  • Collaboration brings together clinical and pharmaceutical expertise, digital health product development, and enterprise AI services
  • Merck aims to bring the model to patients with desmoid tumors and neurofibromatosis type 1 with plexiform neurofibromas (NF1-PN)

(BUSINESS WIRE) -- Merck, a leading science and technology company, today announced a collaboration with NVIDIA Corporation (Santa Clara, California, USA), Microsoft Corporation (Redmond, Washington, USA) and Dawn Health A/S (Copenhagen, Denmark) to build an innovative model for Patient Support Programs (PSPs). The four-way collaboration brings together pharmaceutical and clinical expertise, enterprise technology, AI services and digital health product design, with the shared goal of making specialist-level support more individualized, responsive and continuously available to patients, no matter how complex their treatment journey is.

“Across their treatment journeys, patients with rare tumors often describe challenges that extend well beyond clinical care, like navigating multiple specialists, complex regimens and repeatedly reconstructing their treatment story for each new stakeholder. Our integrated support ecosystem starts with the need. The goal is to truly transform how healthcare is experienced, not add another tool on top of it,” said Miguel Fernández Alcalde, Head of Global Commercial Strategy for Healthcare business sector of Merck. “This solution is designed to make more continuous and personalized support available across small and geographically dispersed rare tumor populations, including patients who may have limited access to specialist care.”

Merck is collaborating on the design of a pioneering integrated support ecosystem tailored to individual needs of people living with rare tumors, their disease state and circumstances. In practice, the outcome is a AI-facilitated companion, available to patients 24/7. Every interaction is grounded in clinically reviewed content, with defined escalation pathways, and full traceability and audit capabilities. Designed to complement, not replace, the care patients receive from their healthcare team, the companion extends the reach and responsiveness of support, while a nurse or healthcare provider remains available when needed. The collaboration builds on and expands a previously announced partnership between Merck and Dawn Health to support rare tumor patients.

Once technical feasibility is confirmed and regulatory requirements are met, the new model will be piloted in key markets in Europe with an initial focus on rare tumors, specifically desmoid tumors and neurofibromatosis type 1 with plexiform neurofibromas (NF1-PN). These disease areas are known to have complex treatment pathways, and high unmet needs of patients, which makes the case for more consistent, higher-quality support particularly urgent.

The multi-way collaboration is grounded on a shared belief that bringing digital interactions, human services and structured data closer together could, over time, help build a more complete view of how a patient's needs evolve throughout their journey.

Three other relevant players in the technology space have key roles in developing this novel patient solution. NVIDIA contributes AI technology & services including NVIDIA Nemotron, NVIDIA Nemotron Reranking open model, NVIDIA NeMo Guardrails, NeMo Relay, NeMo Gym, NeMo Evaluator, NeMo Data Designer to help power the program's performance and safety capabilities; Microsoft provides cloud services (Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI Search, the AI Red Teaming Agent as well as Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure SQL and Azure Monitor to run the Dawn Platform); and Dawn Health leads product development, regulatory experience, and the design of patient-facing applications based on the Dawn Platform offering.

Traditional PSPs have long been a cornerstone of the support pharmaceutical companies offer patients, providing structured, validated guidance throughout the treatment journey. As treatment and care pathways grow more complex, patient demand for support is rising, while the reach of these programs often cannot keep pace. Patients in small or dispersed populations, such as those with rare tumors, continue to have limited access to specialist care.

About Merck's Integrated Health and Medicines

Merck's Integrated Health and Medicines (IHM) brings together medicines, data, devices and human support to better understand patient needs, identify gaps in care, enable better-informed clinical decisions and deliver personalized interventions throughout the patient journey. A medicine marks the start of a patient's support, not the end of it.

Working across Rare Tumors, Specialty, Fertility & Endocrinology, and Cardio-Metabolic care, IHM builds integrated ecosystems, connected devices and decision support tools through its High Touch, High Tech approach: technology helps continuously understand patient needs, anticipate when and where support is required and enable personalized interventions, while healthcare professionals provide the human connection and clinical expertise where they add the greatest value.

Every solution is created with insights from patients, clinicians, and partners who will use it. In the U.S., for example, the company recently launched TGCT & Me, a free app built with insights from patients, healthcare professionals, and a patient advocacy group to help people navigate life with tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT).

New TOURISE and LIONS Advisory Study Reveals How Creativity Creates a Commercial Advantage for Destination Growth

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia - Wednesday, 21. October 2026

50% of travelers cannot remember the last advertisement they saw for a tourism company or destination, with a further 7% unsure

Tourism faces an $11 billion marketing investment gap: restoring the category’s share of voice to 3% would require global travel and transport ad spend to reach $43.4 billion by 2027

63% of Large Language Model (LLM) visibility is driven by long-term brand equity, compared with 22% from current marketing activity and 11% from citation volume

(BUSINESS WIRE)--TOURISE, the world’s premier platform for shaping the future of global tourism, today released IDEAS That Travel, a new report developed in collaboration with LIONS Advisory. The study finds that while travel demand is rising, tourism brands are competing for attention in a more fragmented, socially driven and AI-mediated environment, where visibility alone is no longer enough to secure preference and growth.

“Travelers are discovering destinations earlier and through more channels than ever, from social feeds and creators to communities and AI tools. That raises the bar for tourism brands. Creativity, distinctiveness and trust are becoming central to how destinations earn attention, build preference and remain relevant across the entire traveler journey,” said His Excellency Ahmed Al Khateeb, Minister of Tourism of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of TOURISE.

IDEAS That Travel draws on an online survey of 8,374 consumers across 13 markets who had traveled internationally in the previous 12 months, conducted in December 2025, alongside in-depth interviews with global industry leaders and analysis of LIONS’ marketing research and case studies.

Interviewees include Tony Fernandes, CEO of Capital A and Co-Founder of AirAsia; David Droga, Vice Chair of Accenture; Gonzalo Brujó, CEO and Global Chairman of Interbrand; and Joanne Chehab, Head of MENA Global Business Solutions at ByteDance / TikTok.

The opportunity is significant, but so is the competition. Thirty-nine percent of travelers expect to travel more in the next 12 months than they did in 2025, rising to 51% of Gen Z and 47% of Millennials. Yet tourism marketing is struggling to stay memorable and distinctive: 60% of travelers say travel ads look similar, 43% find it hard to distinguish between travel brands, and 50% cannot remember the last tourism advertisement they saw, with a further 7% unsure.

At the same time, 55% of travelers already use AI in holiday planning and 62% expect to use it more often over the next year. The report argues that future growth will depend on brands building relevance before travelers enter the booking funnel, and doing so consistently across human and AI-led discovery.

“Creativity is a commercial advantage,” said Paul Coxhill, Chief Operating Officer & President, LIONS. “Numerous empirical studies evidence creativity’s role in business growth. The tourism sector is fertile ground for creative effectiveness. Few categories deal so directly in emotion, experience, and memory. Yet in recent years, the sector has seen massive shifts in how people discover, book, and engage with destinations. While demand is rising, so is competition and complexity.”

The report also identifies a widening visibility challenge. Global travel and transport advertising spend rebounded to an estimated $32.4 billion in 2025, but the category’s share of voice remains below pre-pandemic levels. Restoring it to 3% would require investment to reach $43.4 billion by 2027, an $11 billion increase in two years. The report stresses that the answer is not simply more spend, but smarter investment in the social, creator, video and entertainment-led environments where travel intent increasingly forms.

Against this backdrop, IDEAS That Travel sets out a practical framework for tourism brands built around five drivers of effectiveness: Investment, Distinctiveness, Engagement, Authenticity and Seamlessness. Together, they are designed to help brands build visibility, create memorable associations, earn attention through storytelling, strengthen trust through credible experiences, and connect the customer journey across physical and digital touchpoints.

Case studies from Airbnb, Tourism Australia, Visit Sweden, Visit North Carolina and Southwest Airlines show how the principles can be applied in practice. The report concludes that the tourism brands best positioned for future growth will compete not only for bookings, but for attention and cultural relevance, connecting storytelling, creators, AI, media and the lived experience into one coherent system.

The full report is available now at TOURISE.com.

Global Network for the Advancement of Metabolic Psychiatry (MetPsy) Launches with $20 Million Investment in Clinical Care, Education and Research at McLean Hospital

SAN MATEO, Calif. - Wednesday, 21. October 2026 AETOSWire

Baszucki Group funding awarded to McLean Hospital to establish a flagship clinical and research center, and jointly to McLean and MH² for medical education and training initiatives

(BUSINESS WIRE) -- Baszucki Group today announced the launch of the Global Network for the Advancement of Metabolic Psychiatry (MetPsy), uniting researchers and clinicians worldwide to advance evidence-based practice in metabolic psychiatry through clinical care, education, and research. The launch is accompanied by a new $20 million grant from Baszucki Group to build a clinical and research center at McLean Hospital, a member of Mass General Brigham, creating the infrastructure to deliver metabolic approaches to psychiatric care at scale. The grant also supports medical education and training initiatives co-led by MH², a clinical practice, training and education hub.

“Over the past five years, metabolic psychiatry has evolved from a few foundational projects into a dynamic, global movement,” said Kirk Nylen, PhD, Executive Director of MetPsy. “Real scientific breakthroughs don’t happen in isolation; they require strong points of connection. MetPsy was created to be that unifying catalyst, bridging scientific and clinical disciplines to translate research into life-changing treatments for people living with severe mental illness. We are proud to launch this global initiative to drive the future of psychiatric care.”

Metabolic psychiatry is the study of how metabolism influences brain function and mental health. While neurologists have used metabolic approaches to treat brain disorders like epilepsy for more than a century, the application of this approach to psychiatric illness is an emerging area of study and practice. Over the past decade, a growing body of research has demonstrated the potential of metabolic treatments such as ketogenic therapy to improve both metabolic health and psychiatric symptoms in serious mental illnesses such as depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.

As the field expands, demand for resources has grown among researchers and clinicians, as well as the patients they serve. MetPsy addresses this need by providing a centralized network for professional collaboration, shared resources, access to accredited courses, and tools for advancing clinical practice. Backed by foundational support from Baszucki Group, MetPsy aims to include organizations working across all areas of metabolic psychiatry, catalyzing future discoveries and better care.

“The launch of MetPsy reflects our family’s commitment to continuing to advance the field of metabolic psychiatry worldwide,” said Jan Ellison Baszucki, Co-Founder of Baszucki Group. “As this network grows, we hope fellow funders will join us in expanding access to evidence-based metabolic interventions—a clinical approach that has restored the health and future of our son Matthew, and offers that same hope to many more.”

The McLean Center for Metabolic Psychiatry will advance the goals of MetPsy through its core pillars. Dr. Dost Öngür serves as Center Director, overseeing a clinical care center, a research program, and a medical education and training initiative which is co-led by MH² and Dr. Christopher Palmer. Located in Belmont, Massachusetts, McLean Hospital serves as a teaching affiliate for Harvard Medical School and is consistently ranked as the top freestanding psychiatric hospital by U.S. News & World Report.

“Our multidisciplinary team brings together significant clinical and research expertise to expand patient care, offering the first mental healthcare service focused on ketogenic therapy within a larger, established institution,” said Center Director Dost Öngür, MD, PhD, Chief of the Psychotic Disorders Division at McLean Hospital and William P. and Henry B. Test Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. “The Center will demonstrate the feasibility of integrated metabolic care and provide an operational blueprint for other academic medical centers worldwide.”

"Advancing emerging approaches to mental health care requires an integrated model that spans research, clinical practice, and specialized medical education. Through this unique model, we are establishing the evidence base and training protocols needed to support multiple dimensions of metabolic psychiatry,” said Christopher M. Palmer, MD, Founder and President of MH², Director of the Metabolic and Mental Health Program at McLean Hospital, and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.

Eight in 10 Professionals Surveyed Say AI Will Boost Restructuring Efficiency, but Execution Gaps Remain

 WILMINGTON, Del. -

82% expect AI to significantly improve restructuring efficiency and decision-making

80% value early governance support, but only 24% involve it at that stage

43% cite role clarity and cross-border SPV administration as the top execution challenges

(BUSINESS WIRE) -- More than eight in 10 (82%) restructuring professionals expect AI to significantly improve efficiency and decision-making. At the same time, operational readiness and experienced human judgment will remain critical to successful execution. This is according to new research from CSC, the leading provider of global business administration and compliance solutions.

CSC surveyed 210 professionals globally across banking and financial services, restructuring and turnaround consulting, legal services, and private credit to examine the operational factors shaping restructuring execution1. The findings are detailed in CSC’s guide The Restructuring Execution Gap—Why operational readiness determines outcomes.

Respondents see the clearest potential applications in information gathering, KYC mapping, communications, administration, and monitoring—areas where AI could help reduce friction and accelerate processes rather than replace professional expertise.

However, the optimism around AI has a complex backdrop, with execution risk spread across several interconnected operational challenges rather than one single bottleneck. Clarifying roles and responsibilities and administering SPVs or restructuring vehicles efficiently across jurisdictions are joint leading challenges, each cited by 43% of respondents. Managing cross-border complexity and time zones follows closely at 42%, while 39% point to the speed of onboarding or appointment, including AML/KYC.

“AI has the potential to support decision making and streamline some of the behind the scenes work that goes into the restructuring process. But technology works best when it complements experienced professional judgment. The real opportunity is in combining the right tools with people who understand the complexities of restructuring and know how to apply them effectively,” says Sean Foronjy, director, Corporate Trust and Agency, CSC,

The research also points to a timing issue: operational support is not always brought into a restructuring as early as professionals believe it would be valuable. While 80% consider governance services very or quite valuable at the early stage, only 24% say those services were first involved then. The same pattern appears for SPV and entity services, at 67% versus 25%, and corporate trust and agency services, at 56% versus 15%.

The findings also show strong demand for integrated and experienced restructuring support.

Jordina Walker, head of Restructuring and Special Situations EMEA, CSC, adds, “Commercial decisions can take months, but once parties know what they want to do, they want to move very fast. At that point, the question becomes less about whether a restructuring route is viable and more about how quickly the necessary entities, appointments, documentation, and support can be put in place.”

An overwhelming majority (83%) of respondents rate the ability to provide governance and director services, SPV administration, and trust and agency capabilities in one place as important, while 77% say the same about demonstrated restructuring and distressed-situation experience. The findings underline that, as restructurings become more complex and cross-border, execution readiness increasingly depends on having the right expertise, infrastructure and support in place before timelines become compressed.

Frequently asked questions about restructuring execution and operational readiness

How could AI improve corporate restructuring?

Eighty-two percent of restructuring professionals expect AI to significantly improve efficiency and decision-making, particularly in information gathering, KYC mapping, communications, administration, and monitoring.

What are the biggest operational challenges in restructuring?

Clarifying roles and responsibilities and administering SPVs or restructuring vehicles across jurisdictions are the joint leading challenges, each cited by 43% of respondents.

When should operational support be involved in a restructuring?

Eighty percent consider governance services valuable at the early stage, but only 24% say those services were first involved then.

Murata Develops World’s Smallest 008004-inch Size (0.25mm × 0.125mm) NTC Thermistor for Space-Constrained Temperature Sensing

 KYOTO, Japan -

(BUSINESS WIRE)--Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (TOKYO: 6981) (ISIN: JP3914400001) announces the development of the world’s smallest* 008004-inch size (0.25mm × 0.125mm) NTC thermistor, the NCU01 series. Compared with Murata’s previous smallest 01005-inch size (0.4mm × 0.2mm) product, the new series reduces mounting area by approximately 60% while achieving equivalent temperature-sensing performance, with resistance tolerance of ±1% and B-constant tolerance of ±1%. Its ultra-compact size enables temperature sensing to be positioned in increasingly restricted spaces and closer to heat-generating components, supporting more accurate and responsive thermal monitoring in smartphones, wearable devices, and other densely integrated electronic devices.

Murata plans to begin sample shipments in October 2026 and mass production during 2027. The lineup will be expanded progressively, beginning with 100kΩ and 10kΩ resistance values.

Bringing Temperature Sensing Closer to the Heat Source

As electronic devices continue to become smaller and more sophisticated, component density on circuit boards and inside modules continues to increase. As a result, mounting space for electronic components is limited, making it difficult to place NTC thermistors close to heat-generating components. If a thermistor must be placed farther from the heat source, the measured temperature can differ from the actual component temperature, while rapid temperature changes may also take longer to detect.

This creates a demand for smaller NTC thermistors that can be positioned closer to critical components without consuming valuable board space. However, continued miniaturization makes high-precision processing and manufacturing more difficult, making it more challenging to maintain consistent sensing characteristics. For NTC thermistors, tight resistance and B-constant tolerances are critical to enable stable temperature sensing.

High-Precision Performance at 008004-inch Size

Murata addressed these challenges through its proprietary ceramic materials technology, high-precision processing, and optimization of the component structure and manufacturing process to develop the world’s smallest 008004-inch size NTC thermistor. Despite its significantly smaller footprint, the new NCU01 series maintains the ±1% resistance and B-constant tolerances achieved by Murata’s previous 01005-inch size product.

By reducing the mounting area by approximately 60%, the NCU01 can be placed in locations that are difficult to accommodate with larger thermistors, including closer to heat-generating components. This can help reduce the temperature difference and detection delay associated with more distant measurement points while contributing to the stable operation of electronic devices with high-density component layouts.

Primary applications include temperature monitoring on circuit boards in smartphones and wearable devices, as well as in integrated circuit (IC) packages and system-in-package (SiP) modules.

Murata will continue to expand its NTC thermistor lineup and contribute to further miniaturization and improved reliability of electronic devices. For product inquiries, please contact us here.

Parse Biosciences Launches Evercode MAX, Enabling Researchers to Profile More Cells and Samples with Greater Flexibility

New modular platform gives researchers greater control over sample and cell throughput while optimizing value

(BUSINESS WIRE) -- Parse Biosciences, the leading provider of scalable and accessible single cell sequencing and a QIAGEN company, today announced that Evercode™ MAX, a modular configuration of its flagship Evercode single cell sequencing platform, is now shipping to customers. Using the same instrument-free workflow, researchers can profile up to 2.5 times as many cells across up to twice as many samples within their existing budget, or run the same experiment at roughly half the overall cost.

Evercode MAX enables researchers to build a kit configuration around their experiment, with sample barcoding and library preparation as independent kits. Evercode MAX is available for Whole Transcriptome, WT FFPE, TCR, BCR, and CRISPR Detect. With configurations supporting up to 384 samples and 2 million cells, researchers can prioritize more samples to characterize biological variation or more cells per sample to resolve rare populations and subtle cell states.

That flexibility extends to value as well. Because Evercode MAX enables more samples and cells in a single experiment, cost per sample drops by up to 58%. Researchers can also match library prep capacity to their target cell count and save any unused library prep reactions for future experiments. As a result, they decide how many cells to sequence per sample while getting more out of the reagents they buy.

According to Nicholas Jendzjowsky, PhD, Assistant Professor-in-Residence at The Lundquist Institute, who recently chose Evercode MAX, “Flexible is how I’d describe Evercode MAX. For our planned experiments, we could essentially do two experiments for the price of one. That made the decision pretty easy.”

According to Charlie Roco, PhD, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Parse, “Evercode MAX is the direct result of feedback from our customers. Every lab has different priorities when scaling a single cell study, whether it be more samples, more cells, or a tighter budget, and this gives them the ability to make that call themselves instead of settling for a kit that only solves for one variable.”

Evercode MAX runs on the same v4 chemistry as existing Evercode kits, with sensitive gene and transcript detection, efficient sequencing, and increased cell recovery.

To learn more about Evercode MAX, visit Parse at the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) conference October 20-24 in Montreal, Canada, in booth #801 or visit the Evercode MAX product page.

Unlocking Digital Gold’s US$700bn Opportunity

LAS VEGAS - Tuesday, 20. October 2026 AETOSWire Print

(BUSINESS WIRE) -- The digital gold market, worth US$45–55bn today, could unlock up to US$700bn in latent demand, according to new research from World Gold Council and Boston Consulting Group. The report points to substantial untapped appetite among retail investors, with nearly nine in ten surveyed saying they would consider digital gold under the right conditions.

The US$700bn opportunity represents the report’s estimate of total latent demand that could be released if today’s barriers to adoption were removed, rather than a near-term forecast. The report’s five-year base case sees digital gold growing by around 27% a year to US$160–170bn by 2031. That could rise to US$270–280bn over the same time if more barriers fall faster.

Momentum is already building as financial markets undergo a broader digital transformation, bringing tokenised investment products increasingly into the mainstream. Tokenised gold, one segment of the digital gold market alongside vaulted digital gold, has grown fivefold in value since late 2024 to around US$6bn. Cumulative spot trading volumes in tokenised gold exceeded US$90bn in the first quarter of 2026, more than in the whole of 2025.

What holds investors back is not a lack of interest but four key barriers: trust, access, utility and cost. Trust is the swing factor. Investors point to stronger consumer protections, transparent proof of backing, accessible redemption and clearer regulation as the conditions most likely to increase confidence in digital gold. Access is another important barrier to address. Where digital gold is sold through familiar channels such as super-apps, payment platforms and banking apps, as in China, India and Indonesia, the share of investors who hold it is currently up to seven times higher than in less mature markets.

Solving for those barriers could expand the gold market, rather than just redistribute demand. Around 65% of the latent demand sits with people who do not yet own gold. Among today’s digital gold investors, 52% held no gold before their first digital purchase, of which 92% have since bought other forms of gold, highlighting the report’s finding that digital gold can act as an entry point to the wider gold market. Even allowing for some movement between existing gold products, the base case points to around US$95bn of genuinely new demand for gold by 2031. Younger investors are leading the way: awareness of digital gold reaches 50% among 25–34-year-olds, compared with 23% among those aged 55 and over.

David Tait, Chief Executive Officer, World Gold Council, commented:

“Significant investor interest in digital gold is clear, but demand cannot scale without the right infrastructure behind it. That is the role Gold as a Service is designed to play. As shared infrastructure in development, it aims to help issuers bring competitive, compliant digital gold products to market more efficiently, supported by the sourcing, custody and compliance capabilities they would otherwise need to build themselves. But infrastructure alone is not enough. Building a liquid, trusted market will require the wider industry to work to the same standards, so investors can have confidence in what they are buying.”

Urs Rahne, Managing Director and Partner, Boston Consulting Group, commented:

“We undertook this project with the belief that gold has the potential to become the world’s most credible digital asset - not despite its physical nature, but because of it. Our research has reinforced our confidence in the scale of this opportunity and provided a clearer understanding of what it will take to realise its full potential.”

92% of Compliance Leaders Want External Certification on AI Agents. None Exists for On-Chain Risk. Elliptic Just Built It, for Free.

 LAS VEGAS -

Elliptic Institute launches the first certification in agentic AI for on-chain risk and compliance, grounded in the principles of the Elliptic Standard.

(BUSINESS WIRE)--Elliptic, the leader in on-chain risk management, today launched the first certification in governing AI agents for on-chain risk and financial crime compliance from the Elliptic Institute. The Certified Agentic On-Chain Risk Practitioner (CAORP) Foundation Level is free and open to anyone in the industry. The certification follows new Elliptic research in which 92% of senior risk, compliance and financial crime professionals said they would consider sending staff for external certification in agentic AI risk governance.

The global research1 found a wide gap between that appetite and teams' current capability. Only 16% of respondents said they were very confident their team has the skills to govern an AI agent today, while 38% said they were not confident at all or had no capability yet. Nearly a third (31%) expect to send staff for certification within the next 12 months. The demand for training has arrived well ahead of anywhere to get it.

The timing isn't optional. The EU AI Act now requires organizations deploying AI to take measures supporting their staff's AI literacy, a duty that was held through this year's Digital Omnibus revision. The Financial Stability Board's sound practices for AI adoption name staff capability as one of the conditions for sustaining it. Regulators are asking who on a compliance team is actually qualified to oversee an agent. Right now, most firms don't have a clean answer.

The Elliptic Institute’s CAORP runs through five modules in two parts. The first establishes core vocabulary (model, generative model, agent) and the four positions of human oversight, alongside the regulatory sources now shaping expectations. The second is built around three jobs for the compliance professional in an agentic era: Define the boundaries an agent may act within, step in when it moves outside them and own the decisions it cannot close. Each job is taught through the principles of the Elliptic Standard.

"People in this industry are being asked to sign off on agents nobody has formally trained them to oversee," said Simone Maini, CEO at Elliptic. “Our own research confirmed it: 92% of compliance leaders told us they want training and certification. So we built it for the industry.”

The certification is free and open to everyone on Elliptic’s website. Elliptic is at Money20/20 USA, October 18 to 21, at stand 14132.

About the Elliptic Institute

Elliptic Institute stewards the Elliptic Standard and convenes the industry on what it takes for the practitioner to grow and succeed in the agentic era, well beyond the Standard alone. Training is its first output.
