MoI Distributes the “Administrative Diary” to Staff Members

Includes book synopsis and self-development skills

The Decision-Making Support Center at Abu Dhabi Police has started distributing the “Administrative Diary” 2016 to the MoI staff members. The magazine-like diary includes a yearly calendar and planner for 2016, synopsis of famous international books, in addition to advice and guidance in management and self-development.

Major Suleiman Al Ka’bi, Deputy Director of the Decision-making Support Center at Abu Dhabi Police said: “In response to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, who has declared 2016 as the “Year of Reading”, the ‘Administrative Diary’ includes a brief synopsis of 6 world famous books that have been carefully selected and penned by international authors in the field of management and self-development. The synopsis provide an overview of the most important information featured in the books, to help staff members to improve their performance in life and carry out their duties in their careers in the best possible way. The books include “Work Environment without Risks” by Colin Duncan and “Happy Employees” by Jill Geisler.

Major Al Ka’bi confirmed that the “Administrative Diary” planner is a new innovative idea that has been prepared in a different and distinguished form and content. The planner will be offered to MoI staff members and is a lightweight planner that can be easily carried anywhere.

Adding further, he said: “The planner allows users to set their priorities and tasks and register their observations. It has a month-at-a-glance view as well as a weekly and daily view; as well as monthly tabs and achievement and goal sheets. It also contains motivational quotes and proverbs that encourage creativity and innovation”.

In conclusion, Major Al Ka’bi explained that the diary also includes tips and guidance that help employees to develop their skills, such as: the skill of achieving goals; the skill of presentation and how to form work teams; time management; organizing meetings; and the skills of writing; etc.
