Discussions on Facilitating Transit Procedures between the UAE and Oman

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, May 19th 2016 [ME NewsWire]

Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior (MoI), met with Lt. General Hassan bin Mohsen Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs in Oman, to discuss methods of facilitating transit procedures between the UAE and Oman through border exit points.

During the coordination meeting, held yesterday between the Omani and Emirati parties in Oman, they discussed a number of topics of mutual interest, including ways to strengthen a cooperative relationship, exchange expertise and visits, and coordinate both parties’ efforts over various security issues.

The meeting was attended by Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior, along with a number of the UAE MoI officers; and Major General Hammad bin Sulaiman Al Hatimi, Assistant Inspector General for Police and Customs for Operations, in addition to a number of officials from the Sultanate of Oman.
