(BUSINESS WIRE) The world's leading biannual imaging fair, "Photokina 2014," is being held September 16 - 21, 2014, at the Cologne Messe in Germany. Panasonic is exhibiting a wide-range of digital imaging products in 3 areas at its booth - "4K," "Photo," and "Communication."
An extensive range of 4K products and technologies
In center of the 4K area, there is a stage on which talk shows with photographers, who highlight the benefits of LUMIX's 4K technologies, is taking place. There is also a touch & try corner where visitors can come and test the features of the digital cameras and camcorders for themselves. Panasonic is introducing unique 4K technologies and features including its broad portfolio of 4K products, for example 4K video editing equipment, "Varicam 35" professional camcorders, the wearable camera "A500," and the ability to take an impressive image quality 4K photo from 4K video.
"Photo" Area
The photo area features Panasonic extensive range of cameras from compact cameras to mirrorless system cameras. At the consultation counter, Panasonic staff are ready to answer any questions visitors may have, to take them through a demonstration of the specific cameras, and to introduce their various features. In the LUMIX G corner, Panasonic has on display its superior autofocus and lens technologies as well as photographs and videos shot with each model.
A New Concept "Communication" Camera
The "DMC-CM1" communication camera equipped with a 1-inch sensor, which will be initially introduced to Germany and France, is drawing attention from the media and dealers.
LUMIX "DMC-CM1" was awarded "Highlight of Photokina" which is one of the "Photokina Star 2014" awards given to the product that is most notable among all the products exhibited at Photokina.
With 4K and wireless communication, Panasonic will reach the next stage of "Changing Photography."
