Major General Mohammed Khalfan Matar Al Rumaithi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, reviewed the PhD thesis of Major Dr. Zayed Barahma Al Afifi from Abu Dhabi Police. The thesis, submitted to London Metropolitan University, was entitled “Government Strategy in Developing Workforce and Skills- An Investigative Study in the Effect of Scholarships and Investment in Education in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).” The meeting was attended by Major General Abdul Aziz Maktoum Al Shareefi, Acting Director General of Abu Dhabi Police.
Major General Al Rumaithi stressed the importance of scientific research in order to improve the human capabilities in the UAE generally and the Abu Dhabi Police specifically, and lead it to match the capabilities in advanced countries in education investment.
He congratulated Major Dr. Al Afifi for his accomplishment and wished him further success and good luck. He also stressed the higher leadership’s commitment to providing all capabilities and opportunities for Emirati people in order to encourage them to carry on their studies in higher education. This aims to develop capabilities and the national staff’s skills in order to contribute to the development march taking place in the UAE.
Major General Al Rumaithi expressed his pride in the UAE people’s achievements in all fields. He also instructed Major Dr. Al Afifi to prepare a summary and recommendations from his study to give to the relevant department at the Abu Dhabi Police in order to benefit from its results.
