Panasonic Commits Monetary and In-Kind Donations to Support Earthquake Victims in Nepal

OSAKA, Japan. - Tuesday, April 28th 2015 [ME NewsWire]

(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Panasonic Corporation (TOKYO: 6752) today announced its support for people affected by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25. Panasonic Corporation and Panasonic group companies in India have committed monetary and in-kind donations worth 6.1 million yen to help the people and recovery of the affected area.

Panasonic will donate 5 million yen through the NGO Japan Platform. Panasonic group companies in India will provide about 1.1 million yen worth relief supplies including 250 units of solar lanterns, 10,000 pieces of dry cell batteries and 1,000 units of flash lights.

Panasonic and its employees express deep condolences for victims of the earthquake and sincerely hope for swift recovery of the people and areas affected by the disaster.
