Attended a drill showcasing the efficiency of advanced technologies in reducing response time

Major General Jassem Muhammad Al Marzouqui, Civil Defense General Commander-in-chief, visited the Operations Department at Al Qubesat Civil Defense Center, affiliated with the Directorate General of Civil Defense, Abu Dhabi, in order to review the efforts exerted and assess preparedness at the center. During the visit, Major General Marzouqui attended a drill aimed at demonstrating the efficiency of smart technologies in reducing emergency response time.
The Civil Defense General Commander-in-chief urged staff members to further endeavor towards developing services and procedures, and optimizing emergency response time. He also called upon them to seek greater interaction between operations departments and civil defense centers, which would reflect positively on firefighting operations.
During the visit, Major General Marzouqui was briefed by Colonel Tareq Mohamed Al Sharif, Head of the Operations Department, on the different programs and systems available at the Operations Room such as the Smart Civil Defense Centers program. He also reviewed the firefighting vehicles and equipment, personnel, and services provided to prevent fires, in addition to the efforts exerted to enhance security and safety for community members. He was also briefed on the Centre’s duties and functions, which include providing emergency response to fires and field survey in the area of competence of civil defense centers.
Major General Al Marzouqui praised the efforts of the department’s staff members and urged them to double the efforts, and to show diligence and dedication in carrying out their job requirements accurately, to as well as to streamline procedures and enhance quality to upgrade work standards to the highest levels.
The visit falls in line with the program of periodic field visits to the various departments and civil defense centers, with the aim of assessing their preparedness, and reviewing the vehicles and equipment used in civil defense operations, in addition to the resources and capabilities available for the civil defense sector.
