Al Sha’far Inspects Workflow at Sharjah Police

Called to Preserve the Gains of Excellence

On Monday, Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, visited the Sharjah Police General Headquarters where he reviewed the workflow and the provided customer services in various policing areas. Lt. General Al Sha’far urged the staff members to maintain the gains made in excellence and development in a manner that is befitting of the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to implement the best standards.

Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director of the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, accompanied Lt. General Al Sha’far. During the visit, Lt. General Al Sha’far stressed the importance of promoting the entrepreneurship, creativity, and innovation in order to reach excellence and creativity in all fields. “The success of any enterprise depends on teamwork, which contributes to both the evolution of the work system and to raising the performance of the police organization,” he said.

In a meeting held with Brigadier Saif Mohammad Al Ziri Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, and a number of senior officers; the Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior discussed topics related to: methods for developing police work and enhancing it to the highest levels, streamlining procedures, speeding up transactions, and providing quality services in line with the vision and strategy of the Ministry of Interior.

The participants also discussed the Minister of Interior's Excellence Award alongside the preparations that are underway and that are being conducted by various police leadership in order to win the top positions in various categories of the award. The participants also highlighted the importance of leveraging such participation in a way that both improves and develops services.

Adding further, Lt. General Al Sha’far stressed the importance of communication, interaction, and the strengthening of ties between the police leadership countrywide. He urged of the necessity to work as a team through exchanging visits, experience, information, and expertise. Through strengthening cooperative efforts and enhancing communication with junior levels, the efforts will benefit the development of work systems and in combating crime.

In the same context, Brigadier Al Shamsi, the Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, confirmed the commitment of the police to continue forward along the pursuit of excellence in line with the directives of the higher leadership in order to improve the performance and public services provided by the police.

The meeting was attended by the heads of departments and a number of senior officers of the Sharjah Police.
