Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Organizes Events for UAE Innovation Week

Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaiaili, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs, inaugurated the events of the ‘UAE Innovation Week’ under the slogan “Making customers happy by developing and upgrading their experience”.  The events are held at the United House Hall in the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Building in Abu Dhabi; and are organized by the Strategy and Performance Development Department at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs. Residency and Foreigner Affairs general directorates nationwide are participating in the event.

Major General Al Khaiaili said: “The UAE Innovation Week contributes towards achieving the UAE Vision 2021; as innovation is a part of our culture to enhance competitiveness, and to enhance the ambitious generations of individuals by supporting them to accomplish more creative ideas that serve their country and place the UAE at the forefront of innovation.” He continued by saying that the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs relentlessly endeavors to upgrade the levels of work and services provided to the public at the various locations.

Colonel Suleiman Abdullah Al Dir’e, Head of the Strategy and Performance Development Department at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs, stressed the importance of keeping pace with the world’s innovative fields by supporting creative personnel with an environment that enables them further. He noted that the UAE Innovation Week includes activities and events that motivate creativity, namely the “Innovation Lab”, which works to develop and upgrade the customer’s experience in order to achieve their happiness.

The week also includes a workshop entitled “Innovation management, the road to achieve sustained leadership and growth” and presented by Dr. Imadudin Hussein, CEO of a specialized institution in the field of administrative excellence.  Courtesy of the Emirates Identity Authority, the best practices in the field of innovation will also be reviewed during the week’s activities. The top three innovators will also be honored as ambassadors of innovation with the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs’ Assistant Undersecretary’s Innovational Excellence Award. An exhibition will additionally be held at the end of the Innovation Week, which will be organized for the most significant and prominent innovations prepared by the personnel of the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, Director General of Naturalization; Brigadier Ahmed Sultan Al Khider, Director General of Resources and Support Services; Brigadier Abdullah Ali Al Hosani, Deputy Director General of Ports and Airports; Brigadier Suhail Juma’a Al Khaiaili, Deputy Director General of Naturalization;  Colonel Sameh Khalaf Al Daen, Deputy Head of the Strategy and Performance Development Department in the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs; department heads; and a large number of officers and Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs personnel.
