The UAE Police National Shooting Team achieved praiseworthy results in the first edition of the GCC Police Games, which was held 8 – 14 November.
The UAE Police National Shooting Team won first place in the men’s pistol shooting competition. The national teams from Saudi Arabia and the Kuwait ranked second and third respectively.
The top three positions in the individual men’s pistol shooting competition were awarded to members of the UAE Police National Shooting Team. Lt. Juma Salem Al Kindi ranked first, followed by Amine Masna Taher and First Assistant Mohammed Saleh Karama Al Ameri in the second and third positions respectively.
In the women’s pistol shooting competition, the UAE Police National Shooting Team ranked first, followed by the Kuwait and the Bahrain national teams in the second and third positions, respectively.
The top three positions in the individual women’s pistol shooting competition were awarded to members of the UAE Police National Shooting Team. First Assistant Afra Mubarak Al Khaili ranked first, followed by First Assistant Fatima Nasser Al Rasibi and Sergeant Maryam Ahmed Jassem in the second and third ranks, respectively.
In the men’s rifle shooting competition, the UAE Police National Shooting Team ranked first, followed by the Kuwait and the Bahrain national teams in the second and third positions respectively.

In the women’s rifle shooting competition, the Kuwait Police national team ranked first, followed by the Bahrain and the UAE national teams in the second and third positions, respectively.
In the individual women’s rifle shooting competition, First Assistant Fatima Nasser Al Rasibi and First Assistant Afra Mubarak Al Khaili from the UAE ranked first and third respectively.
In the men’s tactical shooting team competition, the Kuwait Police national team ranked first, followed by the UAE and the Saudi Arabia national teams in the second and third positions respectively.
In the individual men’s tactical shooting competition, Sergeant Salem Abdullah Al Ka’bi from UAE won first place. Captain Thamir Al Matirat from Kuwait and First Agent Omar Ibrahim Al Ansari from Kuwait ranked second and third, respectively.
In the women’s tactical shooting competition, the UAE Police national team ranked first, followed by the Bahrain and the Kuwait national teams in the second and third positions respectively.
In the individual women’s tactical shooting competition, Assistant Abeer Al Ali from the UAE won the first place. Assistant Maryam Nasser Al Shamesi from UAE and Sergeant Jazzi Al Zamil from Kuwait ranked second and third, respectively.
Brigadier Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Chairman of the Police Sports Association and head of the participating police team delegation, praised the achievement of the UAE Police National Shooting Team, which ranked first in the pistol and rifle shooting competition. “This milestone was realized thanks to the support of the police leadership to the police’s national sports teams,” he said.
Additionally, Al Dhaheri expressed his pride in this achievement accomplished by the UAE Police National Shooting Team members after a fair competition with their brothers and sisters from the other GCC national teams. Moreover, he urged the UAE Police National Shooting Team to maintain the sporting achievements of the UAE police, to win further tournaments and to make further contributions in the promotion of police sports.
Concluding, the Chairman of the Police Sports Association commended the efforts of the athletes and for their role in earning sporting achievements worthy of the reputation of the UAE police. Colonel Al Dhaheri also highlighted the support of the police leadership for its athletes, so as to continue achieving honorable results to be added to the timeline of the UAE police.
