Preparations for 2nd Edition of USIP World Police Games

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Tuesday, June 7th 2016 [ME NewsWire]

The committee organizing the second edition of the USIP World Police Games embarked upon the UAE’s preparations to host the games.

The meeting was headed by Colonel Waleed Salem Al Shamesi, Director General of the Police College and member of the technical committee of the USIP, and held at his office. It tackled the organization of the games; determination of the first stage’s requirements, current preparations and adopted procedures; general plan for organization; identification of the competition and training stadiums, and their provision with the required devices and equipment; and fulfillment of the organizing committees’ needs.

The meeting also presented the organizational body, in addition to forming committees and determining the specialties, duties and scope of work for each committee. The working teams’ members were determined and the games’ budget was estimated during the meeting, in addition to discussing the recruitment of a company specialized in managing sports events and managing the games.

The meeting was attended by Colonel Adel Abdul Rahman Abdullah, Colonel Saif Rashid Al Salhadi, Colonel Saeed Mohamad Al Khatiri, Colonel Aref Ali Obeid Al Rais, Colonel Abdullah Ali Masoud, and a number of the Ministry of Interior’s Officers.
