Al Harithi: Developing Positivity to Provide Outstanding Service Standards

Happiness Office in Al Ain Traffic Department

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Tuesday, June 7th 2016 [ME NewsWire]

Brigadier Eng. Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (ADP HQ), inaugurated the first office of its kind for “Customer Happiness” at the Al Ain Highways Traffic Section of the Directorate of Traffic and Patrols of the Abu Dhabi Police.

This office is another part of the comprehensive institutional Abu Dhabi Police work effort and strategic approach for positive development. This strategic vision aims to provide services according to the best standards at customer service centers and also to foster an excellent service culture, in keeping with the modern developmental ideas of the UAE Government.

The inauguration was attended by Brigadier Khamis Ishaq Mohammed, Director of the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at the Abu Dhabi Police; Colonel Ahmed Al Shehhi, Director of the Highway Traffic Department; Lt. Colonel Salah Al Hemairi, Head of the Al Ain Highways Traffic Section; and a number of officers from Central Operations.

Brigadier Eng. Al Harithi explained that achieving leadership in the provision of best service and working positively for achieving customer happiness is no longer an ambition, as it has become a commitment that the ADP is striving to realize. The ADP is keeping pace with recent developments in ensuring customer happiness, processing their transactions rapidly and according to the best quality standards. This is achieved via a positive commitment to servicing customers, in a way that represents the police leadership vision of working hard to enhance and provide quality services, in order to reach customer satisfaction and happiness.

He also encouraged workers at the customer service centers to provide the best service standards and meet customer demands positively, in order to reach highest levels of customer satisfaction based on providing quality services via all channels that facilitate service provision.

Brigadier Eng. Al Harithi launched a number of services to foster customer participation online. The services included launching the Happiness Office website, the happiness tweet published in the Knowledge Club, the Happiness hashtag, and encouraging customers to interact via the welcome board, which reflects the commitment of workers at the Department to providing outstanding services.

Colonel Ahmed Abdullah Al Shehhi, Acting Director of Highway Traffic Department at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, stressed the importance of enhancing customer service by adding multiple new services during the coming period. The aim of this is to link more applications from other authorities and developing it to establish customer happiness centers, in accordance with the strategic directives of the Abu Dhabi Police for providing the best services for customers, as well as spreading and fostering a positive culture of distinguished services, to keep pace with the Emirates Program for Excellence in Government Services.

Captain Qasem Hamad Al Moukbali, Chief of the Customer Service Section at the Al Ain Traffic Department, explained that the duties of the office are focused on achieving happiness and positivity for both employees and customers. It also works on answering the needs of various segments of the community and assessing their happiness levels via surveys. The office is also tasked with assessing employee productivity; suggesting strategic programs and projects that aim to achieve happiness and cooperating with other entities, in order to implement and promote services at the governmental happiness center.

Brigadier Eng. Al Harithi honored the winning employee with the Happiness Medal and the winning work team with the Happiness Shield; he also honored the Strategic Planning Section.



Abu Dhabi Traffic: Trucks Not Allowed on Roads During Peak Traffic Hours

The Traffic and Patrols Directorate at the Abu Dhabi Police has forbidden trucks weighing 2.5 tons and over from entering Abu Dhabi City during peak traffic hours, from 8-10 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. throughout Ramadan.

Colonel Jamal Salem Al Ameri, Chief of the Public Relations Section at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate of the Abu Dhabi Police, called upon motorists to adhere to the ban timings. He stressed that there will be intensified monitoring on the roads and hefty fines will be implemented against violators.

He also said that Abu Dhabi Traffic has intensified its awareness efforts for Ramadan through its awareness points in collaboration with traffic awareness patrols, which falls within the framework of a comprehensive traffic safety campaign for the Abu Dhabi roads. This campaign aims to limit the causes of accidents, raise awareness, provide guidance and help all road users in order to achieve zero traffic accidents in Abu Dhabi.
