Abu Dhabi Police hosted a ceremony to honor 106 staff members from the Directorate General of Police Operations for achieving excellence in areas of police work and criminal research. The Employees Recognition Committee selected the honorees on the basis of their achievements and distinguished field work. The honorees were awarded certificates of “dedication in job performance” and “effective efforts to uncover crimes”.
Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of Police Operations at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, expressed his thanks to the honorees. He urged them to pursue excellence and praised their efforts to enhance performance to the highest standards.
In his speech to mark the occasion, he stressed the police leadership’s keenness to encourage police officers and provide them with components that allow them to exert further efforts in order to achieve excellence. This embodies the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to motivate and encourage all of the police institution’s staff members.
For his part, Brigadier Omair Al Muhairi, Deputy Director of Police Operations at Abu Dhabi Police and Chairman of the Employees Recognition Committee, emphasized that honoring distinguished staff members falls in line with the police leadership’s vision to recognize the efforts made by its distinguished staff members in performing the tasks and duties assigned to them, and their contributions to improving police work. Brigadier Al Muhairi called on the honorees and all police officers to exert further efforts to improve police work.
Attending the ceremony that took place at the Capital Police Directorate were Brigadier Omair Al Muhairi; Brigadier Maktoum Al Shareefi, Director of the Capital Police Directorate; Brigadier Eng. Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Directorate; Colonel Sheikh Mohammad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director of Peripheral Regions Directorate; Colonel Dr. Rashid Mohammad Borshid, Head of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID); Colonel Ojeil Ali Abdullah Al Junaibi, Director of the Western Region Police Directorate; along with members of the Employees Recognition Committee and a number of officers. The attendees took commemorative pictures with the honorees.
