The Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi offered fruits to customers and staff members, in a bid to encourage them to eat fresh food; to maintain a healthy body and a balanced diet. This initiative, carried out by the Media and Public Relations Section at the department marks the World Food Day, observed across the country. For this occasion, the department distributed awareness publications about the causes of obesity, obesity-related diseases and proper weight-loss diet plans, as well as food guidelines. Colonel Salim Ali Al Qattam Al Zaabi, Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi, stressed that participation in the World Food Day’s events embodies the department’s keen interest to heighten awareness about good nutrition and its effects on human health.
