Major General Al Matroushi Calls Upon Beachgoers and Swimmers to Equip Themselves with Safety Equipment

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Sunday, December 21st 2014 [ME NewsWire]

Major General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matroushi, Civil Defense Acting General Commander-in-Chief, will provide an address over the radio tomorrow, Monday, to provide general instructions and guidance. He will encourage beachgoers throughout the UAE to carry safety equipment when at the beach to maintain their safety and security.

This advice falls within the framework of the ‘Security Glances’ Campaign that is organized by the Radio Branch, represented the Security Media Department at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. The five-week campaign will include awareness messages and security tips presented by service departments’ directors at the Ministry of Interior and the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ) via the various radio stations across the UAE.

It is worth mentioning that the general instructions provided for beachgoers will include: respecting public sentiment and local traditions, avoiding breaches of public morality and disturbing others, abstaining from drinking alcohol in public, adhering to the designated cycling tracks, not leaving personal belongings unattended in public places, changing clothes in the designated rooms only, paying attention to children while playing on the beach, and maintaining public properties.
