Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior reviewed the investigation management efforts exerted by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Tuesday. The reviewed efforts included methods of combating crime, using the latest technology, and maintaining the gains of the UAE in the fields of security and prosperity in accordance with the best international standards.
His Highness attended the second annual forum of the Criminal Investigation Department at the Abu Dhabi Police, which was organized by the department and held at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr. His Highness praised the efforts of the honorees while stressing the importance of motivating and encouraging current and future employees and partners to pursue further excellence; and to enhance their performance in a way that both serves the society and achieves the aspirations of their nation.
His Highness and the attendees watched a film introducing and highlighting the achievements of the CID gained through the use of the best international techniques and quality standards that have led to receiving multiple internationally recognized certifications.
His Highness delivered certificates and shields of appreciation to the honored staff members and partners in the presence of: Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of Police Operations; Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations; Brigadier Omair Al Muhairi, Deputy Director of Police Operations; Brigadier Eng. Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Directorate; and Colonel Dr. Rashid Mohammad Borshid, Head of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.
Colonel Dr. Borshid expressed his heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the police leadership for their tireless follow-up efforts and for their unwavering support for the CID’s process of modernization and development. “This support has motivated the department to accomplish even greater achievements and to give further provisions in order to make Abu Dhabi the most secure and stable capital of the developed world,” he said.
In his address on this occasion, Colonel Dr. Borshid said that the forum forms a link with partners to deepen and strengthen relations with institutions and individuals. “The department will continue to implement projects and initiatives through embracing methods of teamwork and interaction with partners,” he said. Moreover, he highlighted the importance of continuing to motivate the staff members of the department towards innovation and excellence in order to improve and develop the work in a manner consistent with the level of distinguished police services offered to the citizens and residents.
