Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs, met Larisa Galadza, Head of the Department of Entry at the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), and her accompanying delegation from the CIC. The meeting, which was held Monday morning at the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs’ headquarters, was the first of several meetings Galadza will have with officials from the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector throughout the UAE over the next coming days.
During the meeting, both parties discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination, exchange expertise and experiences between the two countries, and learn about the regulations in the area of naturalization, residency, and ports. Moreover, they exchanged views on a variety of issues of mutual interest between the two friendly countries.
The meeting was attended by: Brigadier Ghareeb Mohammed Al Hosani, Director General of Ports and Airports; Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al Rashedi, Head of the Naturalization Department; Colonel Dr. Abdullah Abdurrahman bin Sultan, Head of Strategy and Performance Development in the Sector; Lieutenant Colonel Khamis Mohammed Al Ka’bi, Legal Consultant to the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector; and Lt. Colonel Matar Kharbash, Head of Information Technology Department at the Sector; alongside members of the delegation and the Canadian Consul in the UAE.
The Canadian delegation was briefed on the activities and tasks undertaken by the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector, its strategy and key achievements, its work mechanisms and techniques, as well as the first-rate services and facilities offered to the public.
