Ministry of Interior Undersecretary Calls upon Training Officials to Focus on Creativity and Excellence

Attended the graduation of two specialized batches

Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior called upon officials in charge of training at the Ministry to focus on creativity, quality and excellence. “This would contribute to developing the capabilities of staff members enrolled in the courses and boost their skills, in order to promote development efforts, and to keep pace with the latest developments at the Ministry.

H.E Lt. General Al Sha’far made these remarks while attending the graduation of the two specialized courses for the Silver and Bronze Command Structures in crises and disaster management. The courses were organized in collaboration with the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) and the UK Emergency Planning College, and were held at the Dubai Police Officers Club, with participation of 56 officers from the various police general headquarters and directorates general at the countrywide level.

H.E the Undersecretary expressed his hope that the courses will achieve the coveted goals, and noted that they were created and established based on the ministry’s actual needs. He called upon the graduates to avail of the knowledge and expertise they have acquired during the courses and to implement them in their different work fields.

The graduation was attended by Major General Mohammed Saeed Al Marri, Director General of Community Service Directorate; Brigadier Omar Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Deputy Director of Dubai Police Operations Department; Colonel Staff Abdul Wahhab Ahmed Al Hajiri, Director General of Central Operations at the Ministry of Interior; and Lt. Colonel Dr. Salem Abdullah Al Habsi, Chief of the Crisis and Disasters Section at the Directorate General of Central Operations and Director of the Leaders Skills Development Initiative, along with a number of representatives from the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) .

For his part, Colonel Al Hajiri stressed that implementing advanced training programs reflects the Ministry’s strategy aimed at providing staff members with the latest knowledge and sciences each according to his specialization.

He noted that the graduation of this batch of officers from the Ministry of Interior is the result of the continuous follow up and efforts made by the police leadership to upgrade the level of the training process, and develop human resources capable of efficiently and effectively facing the current challenges.

Towards the end of the ceremony, Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far and Colonel Al Hajiri distributed certificates to the graduates of the two batches.
