MoI Discusses Plans to Further Improve Civil Defense

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Friday, September 11th 2015 [ME NewsWire]

During a meeting that was recently held at the Abu Dhabi General headquarters, the Ministry of Interior discussed a strategic plan to further develop the civil defense sector. The meeting was chaired by Major General Dr. Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior  and Chairman of the Federal Civil Defense Sector Development Council.

The council reviewed the periodic report of the civil defense sector, in addition to a number of topics on the agenda.

The chairman of the council called for exerting further efforts within the Government’s vision for the UAE to become one of the safest and most secure countries in the world; by focusing on improving the civil defense sector, to ensure the safety of lives and property by making use of advanced smart systems.

The meeting was attended by Major General Jassem Muhammad Al Marzouqui, Commander-in-Chief of the Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior and members of the council.
