The Ministry of Interior has recently developed a new electronic service via the smart phones application (UAE MoI). Customers can now pay the financial documents and health insurance fees needed to obtain long term; short term; and domestic workers visit visas without the need to visit the related centers and concerned authorities.
Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Chairman of the Ministry of Interior’s E-transformation Higher Committee said: “This new service is in pursuance of the Federal Government’s strategy and aims at streamlining customers’ procedures”.
Major General Al Raisi also indicated that the Ministry of Interior is working on re-programming services so as to be obtained by the customers hassle-free through the available information technology means. “These services facilitate customers’ procedures and save their time and effort without the need to visit service centers, health insurance offices, and banks. They can now directly obtain the required service via the Ministry of Interior’s applications,” he said.
Moreover, he noted that this added service contributes to reducing the time needed to complete the procedures with less paperwork; in order to protect the environment, increase production efficiency, and reduce time and effort for customers to obtain their services.
Concluding, Major General AL Raisi stressed the Ministry of Interior’s keenness to provide all official documents, visas and certificates electronically. He called upon the public to avail of the services via the smartphones application (UAE MoI) via its website: www.moi.gov.ae.
