Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, stressed the keenness of the UAE leadership, led by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to keep abreast of the latest developments in the race of modern-day technology and its commitment to follow-up on global developments, so as to enhance the country’s prestigious present stature and to ensure further leadership into the future.
His Highness expressed his pride with the unrelenting development efforts exerted by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, via the numerous initiatives, which have contributed to the streamlined smart transformation to e-services, which can be availed by customers anytime anywhere via their Smart phones. Moreover, His Highness stressed the importance of concerted efforts among all relevant entities to constantly upgrade and advance e-services.
His Highness made these remarks on Tuesday, while touring the 35th GITEX Technology Week, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Sheikh Saif toured the exhibition’s various booths and pavilions, and got acquainted with the latest innovations displayed by the various participating entities in the field of technology and e-services produced worldwide. Sheikh Saif expressed his admiration for the level of modernity and organization, which reflects the capabilities of the UAE, as well as the skills and accumulated experience of the Emiratis when it comes to managing and organizing major prestigious exhibitions.
His Highness Sheikh Saif toured many pavilions of national and international companies participating in the exhibition, notably the UAE Smart Government; the Abu Dhabi e-Government; the Abu Dhabi Systems & Information Centre (ADSIC); the Dubai Smart Government; and the Ministry of Interior. He also toured the Saudi Ministry of Interior’s pavilion, and the Government of Egypt’s pavilion. Sheikh Saif also inspected pavilions representing participating international companies, such as Microsoft, ESRI and Oracle.
During the tour, His Highness was briefed by a number of exhibitors on the latest programs, services and projects showcased at the exhibition. Moreover, His Highness exchanged talks with exhibitors to get insight into their impressions with respect to the exhibition, which succeeded in consolidating its position on the global map of specialized exhibitions.
