ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Sunday, November 23rd 2014 [ME NewsWire]
In a step to help those who have lost limbs in an accident, the Abu Dhabi Police Headquarters (GHQ) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Omniyati Prosthetics Arts Center.
The agreement was signed at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ by Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services, Abu Dhabi Police; and Ms. Ashwaq Hassan Al Hashimi, Director of the Omniyati Prosthetics Arts Center.
Major General Badran said: “This MoU reflects the vision of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, in supporting leading national institutions, which positively reflects on the services provided to the public. It also embodies the strategy of the Abu Dhabi Police in being a part of the development process.”
The MoU allows both the Omniyati Center and the Medical Services Department at the General Directorate of Finance and Services to help those affected by accidents through the exchange of expertise and joint work in developing medical fields.
Ms. Al Hashimi said: “This cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Police opens new horizons for the center to develop and build partnerships in order to improve our services. The center provides all of its services to individuals under one roof.”
Ms. Al Hashimi added: “Under the support of the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development, this center was established to serve everyone, regardless of their background or whatever segment of society they may come from. It supports medical tourism, as it is one of the only centers of this kind in the Arabian Gulf region and the Middle East.”
